Fuel prices to decrease again in Hungary from Friday
From 10 February, the diesel price is to decrease again in Hungary. Unfortunately, gasoline prices will not fall again in the country’s petrol stations.
According to index.hu, today the price of gasoline decreased by HUF 10 (EUR 0.026), while, in the case of gasoline, that fall was HUF 25. From 10 February, the diesel price is to decrease again in Hungary.
Here are the new fuel costs from this Friday:
- 95 type gasoline: HUF 615/l
- Diesel: HUF 640/l
Based on sonline.hu, Hungary will not face fuel supply problems because of the embargo the EU imposed on Russia. Eszter Bujdos, the owner of holtankoljak.hu, confirmed that information, just like some fuel station owners in Somogy county. Bujdos highlighted that suppliers and refineries would solve the change because they knew about that months before, so they had enough time to prepare.
Hungary, for example, tries to buy crude oil from the gulf states. Bujdos said Hungary could purchase oil from the USA, but it costs too much. She added that the embargo did not cause a price increase. Instead, prices fell.
