Significant changes concerning an important Budapest flight from 15 March

15 March is a national day in Hungary, the anniversary of the 1848-1849 Hungarian civic revolution and freedom fight against the Habsburg Empire. But it will also mark the change of a popular Budapest flight commuting between the Hungarian capital and a Chinese metropolis having more than 30 million residents with its suburbs.
New departure and arrival times, new planes
According to airportal.hu, Air China’s regular flights from Chongqing in Central China will land in Budapest on Wednesdays in the morning instead of Friday evening. The schedule change will be in effect from 15 March. Furthermore, the airlines will use Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners on the route, replacing the Airbus A330-200s the passengers got used to in the past.
Flight fequency will remain unchanged, based on the Chinese airline. The change will be in effect in the summer schedule, from 15 March until the end of October. The flights will commute once a week.
From 15 March, flights with the call sign CA 435 will take off at 2 AM from Chongqing and are scheduled to arrive at 8 AM in Budapest. The return flight having the call sign CA 436, will depart from the Ferenc Liszt International Airport at noon to land on the banks of the Yangtze River at 4.45 AM the next day.
A popular flight connecting China and Hungary
Since Hungary will use the Winter Time on 15 March and 22 March, Budapest arrival and departure times will be one hour earlier. The daylight saving time will start in Hungary on 26 March when we still turn our clocks forward one hour from 2 AM to 3 AM.
