PHOTO GALLERY: Here is the first 5-star superior hotel at Lake Balaton
The Hotel Vinifera Wine & Spa, opening in Balatonfüred on 1 July, has been awarded a 5-star superior rating. This is a huge recognition, as less than ten hotels in Hungary can boast the highest category rating.
Hotel Vinifera Wine & Spa
The hotel in Balatonfüred is based on the uniqueness of the wine-gastronomy-wellness combination. The resort offers a total of 111 rooms of different categories. The size of the accommodation units varies from 27 to 70 square metres. In addition to standard room types, the offer includes family rooms, suites with separate bedrooms and living rooms, turizmus.com reports.
Wine and pizza!
The exclusive 2,000 square metre spa on two levels and the SPA by Adrienne Feller will be key features of the offer. As the name of the hotel (Vitis Vinifera, meaning wine grape) suggests, the wine theme is present in the full spectrum of the hotel’s services. The wine tasting area in the lobby is surrounded by several individual wine coolers. The Deliciosa restaurant offers wood-fired Josper grills and Neapolitan-style pizzas made in its own pizza oven.
Guest-centric approach
What is more, the hotel reinforces its guest-centric approach with a guest relations team. Groups arriving for meetings and team-building sessions are welcomed in the hotel. The resort is operated by the Continental Group and has two event rooms totalling 218 square metres, reminiscent of luxury Austrian country hotels.
According to szallashelyminosites.hu, only 9 hotels in Hungary can boast a five-star superior rating. Most of them are in Budapest. In the countryside, Vinifera is the third hotel to achieve the highest rating, after Avalon Resort & Spa in Miskolcapolca and Botaniq Turai Kastély.
