Business Golf 2023: an exclusive event where it’s all about golf and fun

This year again, the prestigious Business Golf event was held in Bükfürdő, Hungary.

Now in its 21st edition, the Business Golf event is one of the most important golf-related events. Perla Service hosted a corporate day with a golf tournament for prominent business representatives, and the venue was provided by Greenfield Golf Bük, where the golf course and the hotel next to it provided the perfect setting for the event.

The two-day event in June was attended by a mix of business leaders who are already golfers and those interested in golf, as well as their families. László Hovánszky, the main patron of the event, said that the programme initially attracted guests mainly from the FMCG sector, as well as sponsors and advertisers. He pointed out that since 2006, market leaders from various types of companies, from the financial, industrial, IT, transport and many other industries, have been represented by their owners and managers on a by-invite basis.

The main organiser, István Bárány, told Daily News Hungary that the golf tournament and social day takes place once a year, on a weekend in early summer. He explained that the professional golfers’ tournament starts on Saturday morning, but for guests who want to get acquainted with the sport, there are also several entertainment programmes, from golf lessons to a course tour and a beginners’ competition. There are also many other activities on offer: archery, airsoft shooting, beauty treatment, make-up consultation, fortune-telling, jewellery show, bouncy castle, electric cars, face painting and rodeo bull.

Those interested in cars were not left without a programme either, with test drives of cars of various makers available courtesy of the Emil Frey Group.

As part of the host country programme, guests were able to learn about Malaysia’s tourist attractions and business opportunities. HE Ambassador Francisco Munis said that they were delighted to participate in this high-quality event and he believes that the visit was useful in bringing the Hungarian people closer to the Asian country. The ambassador is also a big fan of golf and he also took part in the tournament.

The guests were catered for during the day by a buffet tent with products from the sponsors and the gala dinner was provided by the hotel.

At the end of the event, Bárány told Daily News Hungary that it was another successful occasion, with more than 350 guests attending the exclusive event. He added that they will certainly be expecting similar programmes for their guests at Business Golf next year.
