Huge change coming to public transport in Budapest, many people will be happy about it
The Budapest Transport Company has announced that it has made it easier to validate digital tickets.
Digital ticket validation has become even easier thanks to an upgrade by the Budapest Transport Company (BKK). You can now validate your tickets using the NFC function in the BudapestGO app.
New stickers have been applied to the vehicles in the Hungarian capital, which also work with NFC. In addition, the stickers also contain the QR codes used previously, so those who prefer camera scanning can use it as well, napi.hu reports.
Line tickets (single tickets) and time-based tickets must be validated at every use, while day tickets and season tickets only need to be presented at ticket control, BKK pointed out.
