Successful Hungarian EU precidency is in European Commission’s interest
The success of Hungary’s upcoming European Union presidency is in the interest of the European Commission, János Bóka, Hungary’s EU minister, said in a post on social media X after talks with Ilze Juhansone, secretary general of the EC in Brussels on Tuesday.
The talks focused on topical issues on the agenda of the EU, with special regard to preparations for the Hungarian presidency, Bóka’s ministry said in a statement.
Bóka also had talks with Hadja Lahbib, his Belgian counterpart, and Skander Nasra, chief advisor to the Belgian PM.
Hungary, as part of the Spanish-Belgian-Hungarian presidential trio, will seek to continue the work of Spain and Belgium “along the lines of its own priorities”, the ministry said. The Hungarian presidency will seek close cooperation with both Belgium and the European Commission, the statement said.
