Paid system at Lidl Hungary: here are the prices
As reported on Daily News Hungary, after 4 September, today, it will no longer be possible to charge e-cars for free in Lidl car parks. We now know how much you will have to pay in the supermarket car parks to charge your vehicle.
As we reported earlier, from today, it is no longer free to charge e-cars in Lidl car parks in Hungary. The Lidl e-charge app will be discontinued, and instead, electric car drivers will be able to use the service in three ways during store opening hours, Infostart reports.
Charging can be initiated from the Lidl Plus app, via Lidl’s website, and as a third option, it will also be possible to choose a so-called roaming solution. The prices have now been published, as reported by Portfolio. Lidl has added a twist here: it’s much cheaper via the app.
- Using the Lidl Plus app: HUF 149/kWh (EUR 0.39) on AC charger, HUF 179/kWh (EUR 0.47) on DC charger.
- Using the Lidl website: HUF 199/kWh (EUR 0.52) on AC charger, HUF 229/kWh (EUR 0.60) on DC charger.
NOTE: these prices are valid from Tuesday, 5 September. The information notice also states that if you start a charging via the Lidl Plus app, the chain will block HUF 5,000 on the account number you have entered, and that the charging will stop automatically when the blocked amount is reached. Charging can be restarted once the limit has been reached.
From now on, Penny Market is the only place where people can charge their electric vehicles for free.
