Man tragically fell to his death in one of Budapest’s largest shopping centres
A man fell down in the Mammut shopping centre in Budapest on Sunday. According to 24.hu, the 36-year-old lost his life on the spot.
Réka Kaszap, the communication officer of the ambulance service, informed us that despite their efforts to resuscitate him, they were unable to help, and he passed away on the premises.
In response to 24.hu‘s inquiry, the press department of the BRFK stated that there was no suspicion of foul play or criminality. The police are currently examining the circumstances of the incident through an administrative procedure.
Over the past thirteen years, aside from this unfortunate incident, seven individuals have tragically taken their own lives in the shopping centre. Following the latest occurrence in July, the 2nd district municipality has initiated discussions with the operators to enhance the safety of the building.
In a previous report HERE, we detailed the case of a British national who took his own life due to complications from botched dental work in Hungary.
Furthermore, we previously reported on the tragic death of a soldier from the Hungarian contingent of the KFOR (NATO-led peacekeeping force). According to available information, he, too, took his own life. Additional details can be found HERE.
