Center for Fundamental Rights director: Hungary the last place where people can speak their minds
Miklós Szánthó, the director of the Center for Fundamental Rights (Alapjogokért), said Hungary’s “signature cocktail” was the antidote to the “woke movement”. “No war, no migration, no gender – and a refusal to play by the liberals’ rules,” Szánthó said in an opinion piece published on The Daily Caller, a US website.
In the piece, also quoted by Hungarian daily Magyar Nemzet, Szánthó said “Prime Minister Viktor Orbán does upset the delicate sensibilities of the progressive liberals”. “An age of discovery in reverse has started, as intellectuals from Tucker Carlson through Jordan Peterson to Micheal Knowles explore for themselves the Hungarian conservative landscape in search of lessons to learn about politics and winning at the polls.”
“We have always taken our borders seriously and controlled them effectively; respected our religious roots and guarded our state sovereignty and constitutional traditions. The family is the cornerstone of our society. We have also recognized that demographics is not just a matter of sovereignty, but a geopolitical challenge as well,” Szánthó said.
“Hungary is the last place – certainly in Europe – where people can speak their minds. A country still led by elected politicians, not ruled by a bureaucratic deep state,” Szánthó said.

Ha, Ha… gotta love this. The place with the most controlled media in Europe so speak away, no one will hear you.
Hungary is descending into an Orwellian world of propaganda where the government forces virtually all opposition media out of television and radio and claims that it is “the last place where people can speak their minds.” I listened to an opposition broadcast in Hungary that could only be provided through internet because they were banned from radio and heard for myself the disruption of the programme due to Fidesz hacking of the station. Fidesz is adopting all the tricks from Putin’s Russia and it is all done incrementally. Hungarians are cooking like lobsters in a pot and half of them are oblivious to it.
It’s true. A dude says he’s a woman: Here, you can laugh in his face or just roll your eyes and walk away. Just about everywhere else, unless you do anything other than say “Yes, ma’am,” you get fired from your job and, in very many places, criminally prosecuted, landing you with a record, fine, and even jail term. The same goes for expressing just about any view on immigration other than “Everybody is welcome!”
F Demjen & Larry, try to describe a murderer as a Muslim terrorist or call someone by the wrong pronoun in Canada or US and you may end up in jail. The only liberty allowed in North America is the persecution of Jewish people. In the US black gangs can rob up to the value of $900, and the laws will protect you. The stores have no recourse. nor can they say it was a gang of black youth.
Campaign ads should always be place in media with the largest exposure. Campaign ads should and are being paid by political parties. Do not blame popular FIDESZ for the unpopularity of socialists and lack of financial support. Hungarians should hate socialist, socialist made and make their lives miserable.
Hungarians should appreciate free speech, the free speech that is being taken away in the EU and North America.
