Hungarian petrol stations to see steep price hike this week
No good news for Valentine’s Day: fuel prices at Hungarian petrol stations will rise significantly on Wednesday, 14 February.
Domestic fuel prices will rise on Wednesday this week, according to holtankoljak.hu. The wholesale price of petrol will increase by HUF 7 gross. Meanwhile, petrol stations will have to pay HUF 11 gross more for diesel to their wholesalers. These changes will most likely be reflected in consumer prices as well.
If the price increase is reflected in the prices at petrol stations, the following average prices will be available at domestic stations from Wednesday:
- 95 petrol: HUF 607/litre (EUR 1.57)
- diesel: HUF 651/litre (EUR 1.68)
