Clark Ádám Square in Budapest is to be rebuilt, and work will begin soon, according to a statement issued by the Mayor’s Office on Thursday. With the renovation of Clark Ádám Square, the capital would like to create the most beautiful promenade in the world.

The Municipality of Budapest and the Municipality of Budavár, District I, signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the “climate-conscious renewal” of the square. In principle, this means that there will be more space for pedestrians, significantly more green space and improved cycling conditions.

“More trees, wider pavements, easily accessible green spaces and a pedestrian walkway between the Basilica and Buda Castle are planned,”

the statement says.

Mayor Gergely Karácsony said that one of the most important projects of the cycle was the renewal of the Chain Bridge and the new traffic regime on the bridge, which could contribute to traffic calming in the city centre.

  1. The ugly hotel is the eye score. Cars standing on the sidewalk, traffic congestion in front of it, terrible. Should have nevere been allowed. Not a five Star material.
