PM Orbán slams airlines: ‘Flight delays are unacceptable’

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has slammed the recent series of flight delays and cancellations a “unacceptable”, saying it was “impossible not to be outraged” by what was happening in the sector.

“It’s not about whether or not air travel is well-organised, but that there’s not even the bare minimum of humanity,” Orbán told public radio on Friday. He said most passengers had been working throughout the entire year to be able to use their savings to go on holiday, and this was “one of the important events of the year” for most Hungarian families.

The PM said passengers were not being shown “any humanity” by airlines when they were not kept informed about the situation and the long delays.

He said what was happening at Liszt Ferenc International Airport was a consequence of the period before the state had re-acquired, adding that he trusted that the situation would improve “when the actual physical takeover happens”. He said it was not just the airport’s operator that needed to do a better job, but also air traffic control and the ground crew.

The politician said the government expected staff and crew that interacted with Hungarians and tourists to show “more understanding and humanity”, adding that he had instructed his ministers to enforce those expectations.

Orban, he can “mouth” off as much as he LOVES to, but at the end of the Day, the Government, the Fidesz Government of Hungary, which HE leads, just like AGAIN in Hungary, that will see rises in Food – supermarket shopping, butter already post the end of the Government “Cap” idiotic idea has increased, the Governments ability to make change do anything about it, will be INEFFECTUAL have NO impact.
Orban/Varga – set ALL of this in motion on Food costs /Supermarket Costs – and we again, the Citizens WILL pay.
The Orban – Fidesz Government own Franc Liszt Airport.
Wizzair – shop be ROCKETED as they are PRINCIPAL offenders to this Flight Delay DEBARCLE.

More blame for everyone else for problems in Hungary from the government that controls everything and has been ruling by decree for four years. Fidesz is turning Hungary into a deep dark hole. Vote for them again in 2026 if you want more of the same.

WHAT can the citizens SALVAGE back between NOW and 2026 ?
Orban – the Fidesz Government have SCATTLED us in millions this country, and it continues.
WHEN will Hungarians in growing STRENGTH – POWER of numbers “wake up” what’s happened to them there country, there quality of lives ?
WHAT is there our FUTURE – the path/road the Orban – Fidesz Government have DELIVERED us to ?
Is it a Highway to Hell ?
It will NOT be a FUTURE that is of ENJOYMENT, freedom, liberty – of CHOICE – but one of oppression, dictatorial, regimented in it’s Governance, that in the study of history, that NEVER lies, will be reminiscent, of the BLACKENED years in Hungary – 1945 -1989 – those INHIBITED restricted for personal pursuit of the “joys of life” – those supressed years.
Do we want a FUTURE that we as a country are manipulated that through it’s Governance, distorts in not allowing the distinctive talents of individuals to pursue there “goals in of life” ?
Do we want through Governance as a country under laws of Communism, to live in a country that does not encourage nor allow, the talents of individuals to flourish, to live in a country that prevents progress and prosperity ?
We are on course as a country Hungary, to be – our lives bought under tighter DICTATORIAL control.
