Jolie shot here her film about the Balkans war, “In the Land of Blood and Honey”. The producer and director was Jolie, and the film was her first commercial release as a director, depicting a love story set against the background of the Bosnian War. Some of the scenes were made at Budapest’s illustrious Square of Roses (Rózsák tere, Budapest’s 7th district).
