Breaking: Budapest fireworks delayed to 10 PM due to storm
“Please seek shelter in a covered area within the next half hour. Depending on weather conditions, we now plan to start the fireworks at 10:00 PM,” posted Zoltán Kovács on Facebook shortly before the originally scheduled 9:00 PM start.
The storm hit the capital around 8:30 PM, casting doubt over the 20 August fireworks display, 24.hu reports.
Kovács’s message was also announced over loudspeakers along the riverbank.
