Morgan Freeman spotted in chic Budapest restaurant!
The iconic American actor, producer, and narrator, who has received numerous accolades, including an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and a nomination for a Tony Award, has been spotted in a restaurant in Budapest’s 1st district. Morgan Freeman is in Hungary!
“Eat, breathe, relax, be inspired – join the club! Chic, sexy, cosmopolitan, yet utterly local“, reads the introduction on the official website of Déryné restaurant. “Artists, authors, movie stars, designers, ballerinas, the rich and famous shared the space with local crowds over coffee, drinks, food and the decadent magic lingering around its walls“, the restaurant continues in its introduction. If it is to be believed, it is hardly surprising that Morgan Freeman chose to spend some time at Déryné restaurant while in Budapest.
24.hu discovered a Facebook post by Déryné showing Morgan Freeman with Ákos Varga, a distinguished Hungarian sommelier. “One of the greatest… breathless”, Déryné wrote alongside the photo.
We wrote HERE and HERE that Hollywood stars Jesse Eisenberg and Woody Harrelson are also in Budapest for the filming of the second sequel to the successful heist film “Now You See Me.” Eisenberg visited a magician’s shop in the heart of the Hungarian capital, where the shop owner said he tried to learn some tricks. Meanwhile, Harrelson appeared in a selfie with Sándor Noszály, a Hungarian tennis champion, taken near a Budapest padel court. Noszály mentioned that the American actor was quite good at padel.
According to index.hu, filming for the third instalment has begun, which explains why Freeman is in Budapest.
Budapest restaurant Déryné popular among Hollywood stars
Interestingly, the cast includes several well-known actors, including Rosamund Pike, Ariana Greenblatt, Daniel Radcliffe, Lizzy Caplan, Mark Ruffalo, Isla Fisher, Justice Smith, Dave Franco and Dominic Sessa. There is a chance that all of them have now arrived in Hungary.
The new sequel of the heist film is set to debut on 14th November next year.
According to index.hu, foreign film studios are drawn to Hungary because of the low taxes and the availability of experienced crews. As a result, Budapest has become one of the world’s top filmmaking hubs.
Déryné is a popular spot among Hollywood stars. Among others, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Anthony Mackie, and Danny DeVito have already enjoyed their time here.
The restaurant’s address is 3 Krisztina Square, Budapest.
