17-year-old girl crowned new Hungarian beauty queen – Photos
The World Beauty of the Hungarians was chosen over the weekend to represent Hungary at the Miss Intercontinental pageant.
A 17-year-old high school student from Csengőd, Ramóna Molnár, was crowned this year’s World Beauty Queen of Hungarians (Magyarok Világszépe) at a gala event in Karcag.

The televised selection of the Hungarian beauty queen began early on Saturday afternoon at 3 pm on the large outdoor stage of the Karcag Kincse Arts and Conference Centre. Out of hundreds of applicants, only 14 girls from Transylvania, Transcarpathia, and the Highlands made it to this year’s final.
Emma Uzsák was named the most beautiful lady of the Highlands (Felvidék, Slovakia), Dorina Somogyi the most beautiful lady of Transcarpathia (Kárpátalja, Ukraine), and Kinga Kovács the most beautiful lady of Transylvania (Erdély, Romania).
This year, the age limit for the Hungarian beauty queen contestants was set between 17 and 27 years. The competition focused on the presentation and promotion of traditional Hungarian costumes and the preservation of cultural traditions. The Hungarian beauty queen contestants competed in Kalocsa dresses, bikinis, cocktail dresses, and evening gowns.
The main prize was a Fiat 500 car, and the winner will go on to represent Hungary at the Miss Intercontinental World Contest, according to karpathir.com.
Ramóna Jákob won the title of Top Model of the World Hungary.
