The Mészáros Group has acquired Pastrami, a restaurant in the north of the capital. The restaurant has been loss-making since the coronavirus pandemic. Following the acquisition, they hope that the restaurant will be profitable again and will be able to maintain all workplaces.
Mészáros Group said it aimed to preserve the brand, established in 2009, upgrade the restaurant and ensure its operation in the long term. Mészáros Group member Talentis Group acquired Pastrami Ltd., the restaurant’s operator, and Monyó Holding Ltd, which owns the restaurant property.

The Pastrami Restaurant in Budapest is well-known for its New York pastrami sandwich, a speciality of the American metropolis with Central European origins. The sandwich is made of pastrami meat, an ingredient produced with specific know-how, of which the place uses 6-800 kilograms per year.
