PM Orbán’s political director: We’re sick of ‘Brusselites’

The Prime Minister’s political director has said in a post on Facebook that Manfred Weber “is fed up with Prime Minister Viktor Orbán” rejecting pro-war resolutions in Brussels, “and we’re sick of Brusselites”.

Branding the European People’s Party‘s head as opposition Tisza leader “Peter Magyar’s boss”, he said Weber was “fed up with” Orbán. “Well, we’re sick of Brusselites,” he said in the post on Thursday.

While the US and Russia negotiated to end the war, people in Brussels were agitating to ratchet up the war, he said. “Let’s get it finally that war isn’t the answer to war; more war won’t end the bloodshed,” he said. “Only peace can end war,” he added. “This is Hungary’s position.”

  1. I wonder about Brussels and the water they drink. Do they not think that Ukrainians that live in Ukraine are tired of the war, death and destruction? Best protection for Ukraine is neutrality. No country, not even insane Hitler, attacked a neutral country.

    • Nazi Germany under Hitler attacked several neutral states during World War II:

Denmark and Norway (April 9, 1940) – Despite their neutrality, both were invaded as part of Operation Weserübung. Denmark surrendered quickly, while Norway resisted for two months with British and French support.

Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg (May 10, 1940) – These neutral countries were invaded as part of Germany’s plan to bypass the heavily fortified French Maginot Line and quickly reach France.

Soviet Invasion of Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia (June 1941) – These Baltic states were occupied by the Soviet Union in 1940 but were later invaded by Germany during Operation Barbarossa.

Yugoslavia (April 6, 1941) – Although initially aligned with the Axis, a coup led Hitler to order an invasion. Germany, Italy, and Hungary quickly dismantled the country.

Greece (April 6, 1941) – Though initially at war with Italy, Greece was still neutral regarding Germany. However, Hitler ordered an invasion after Mussolini’s failed campaign.

Though Hitler generally avoided attacking truly neutral states like Switzerland, Sweden, and Turkey, Germany did violate their neutrality in smaller ways, such as airspace violations, economic pressure, and espionage activities.
