VIDEO: Burj Khalifa celebrated Hungary’s National Day, UPDATE: more photos

Today is our national day when we commemorate and celebrate those who created the civic, modern, constitutional Hungary in March and April 1848. Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, also celebrated the event with a video displayed on it.

The video displayed on the skyscraper featured the following places in Hungary:

  • the Royal Palace in the Buda Castle,
  • the Matthias Church in the Buda Castle,
  • the Votive Church of Szeged,
  • the lions of the Chain Bridge,
  • the Heroes’ Square,
  • the Citadel in Budapest,
  • the Hévíz bath,
  • and Lake Balaton.

The video also features the Hortobágy, the Hungarian folk dance and unique Hungarian dog and cattle breeds.

The world’s tallest building

The Burj Khalifa, located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is the world’s tallest building, standing at an impressive height of 829.8 meters (2,722 feet) with a roof height of 828 meters (2,717 feet) including a 242.6-meter spire. The building was initially known as Burj Dubai but was renamed Burj Khalifa in honour of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the former president of the United Arab Emirates. The building has 163 floors.
