PM Orbán launches petition against Tisza MEP, calls it national resistance movement

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has appealed to Hungarians not to allow Brussels to use the Tisza Party to meddle in the general election. In a video posted on Facebook on Thursday, he urged them to sign a so-called national resistance movement petition.
Orbán said he was joining the national resistance movement to take action against “things happening in the world today, especially in Brussels and against Hungary”, and he referred to opposition Tisza Party MEP Kinga Kollár, who he said was acting in Brussels to impede Hungary and the success of its economy and public services.
This, he added, was preventing the government from financing the renovation of fifty hospitals and the construction of roads, bridges and railways.
“It’s time we raised our voices,” Orbán said, urging “as many people as possible” to respond to the national resistance movement’s petition at THIS website.
Péter Magyar reacted in a Facebook post saying that nobody will become a greater Hungarian if referred regularly to the nation and suggested that Orbán should stand up against his oligarchs who rob the nation day after day. He acknowledged that they aimed to win the 2026 general elections.
Orbán talks about dark day in Europe
“Yesterday was a dark day in Europe,” Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said on Wednesday, commenting on a congress of the European People’s Party, where, he said, the EPP decided in favour of prolonging the war in Ukraine. “They want to send even more money to Ukraine while the European economy is suffering,” Orban said in a post on Facebook. “Shame!”

While not all europeans countries are doing that well, i would not all are suffering. The only one with economic issues is Hungary and the reason is the corrupted dictatorship you have as government
Sounds more like a “national resistance movement” against democracy.
“…preventing the government from financing the renovation of fifty hospitals…”
What a load of BS. Fidesz government prevented all this all by itself, long before Tisza Party gainded support.
Strange, isn’t it? How the Prime Minister keeps inventing new threats to Hungarian sovereignty. First came George Soros, because George is a lowlife liberal. Then the European Union because everything they do is against Hungary; especially since the EU teat started to go dry. Then it was the American Biden administration because their ambassador to Hungary was……..well, different. Now it’s the Tisza Party because they are just an EU puppet. I left out dual citizens like me, because when we disagree with our government we deserve no better than to be shown to the nearest exit.
When is this drool flowing from the Prime Minister’s office going to dry up? Is isn’t, while the current government is at the helm.
As if Europeans care about Hungary enough to ‘meddle’- the only thing Hungary has made clear is that is determined that the government stench is large enough to penetrate international news on a near daily basis and turn it into a laughing stock pariah state, causing investors and its young , most intelligent and productive minds to flee en masse, great job.
