Hurry up: Budapest outdoor pools close on Sunday as season ends

Budapest’s seasonal open-air baths, including the Római and Pünkösdfürdői Strandfürdő, will wrap up their summer operations this Sunday. Both pools will welcome visitors for the last time this week, with daily hours from 9 AM to 7 PM until 31 August.

Pünkösdfürdői Strand Celebrates 90th Anniversary

This year marks a milestone for the Pünkösdfürdői Strandfürdő, where lukewarm thermal spring water was first discovered in 1934, marking the beginning of its history. Officially opened in 1935, the bath now celebrates its 90th anniversary. To commemorate the occasion, a Summer-Closing Birthday Retro Party will be held on Saturday, 30 August, according to Turizmus.com.

Partial Closure at Palatinus Strandfürdő

While the Termál Online reports that Palatinus Strandfürdő remains open year-round thanks to its indoor facilities, its outdoor pools are closing gradually as summer ends. This week is the last chance to enjoy the wave pool, beach pool, outdoor thermal pools, and water slides before they shut down for maintenance.
