PM Orbán: “we cannot allow Hungarians’ money to be sent to Ukraine”
According to The Economist, Ukraine would need 400 billion US dollars over the next four years to continue the war. Weapons, reconstruction, pensions, salaries… and once again, Europe is expected to foot the bill. There’s no one else left willing to pick up the tab, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said on Monday.
“That’s why Brussels is so agitated. That’s why they want to seize frozen Russian assets, overhaul the EU funding system, and take on new loans. We reject this. It’s not Hungary’s job to finance Ukraine. We have no reason to do so: not politically, not economically, not morally,” he said.
Orbán said “we are not alone in Europe, but we speak the most openly. That’s why Brussels keeps attacking us”.”They want a “jawohl government”, with the European Public Prosecutor’s Office, EU-compliant economic policies, Brussels-approved experts, and a prime minister they can control,” he added.
“In the next four years, we will support Hungarian families, Hungarian businesses, and Hungarian pensioners. That is why we are introducing tax exemption for mothers with two or three children, extending our 3 percent loan scheme to businesses, and bringing back the 14th-month pension,” he said. “We cannot allow Hungarians’ money to be sent to Ukraine,” Orbán said.

We can’t allow Europeans money to be sent to Hungary.
What a load of election propaganda. We have not paid anything ever. We have only received money from others. And considering how badly Fidesz has ruined Hungarys economy, we wont be paying anything in the future either as our economy is suffering. We dont have any Hungarian money for “sending Hungarian money to Ukraine” , we rely on other nations to send money to support our crumbling economy – thanks to Fidesz and Orbán.
No worries! Soon orban will not be able to send it to Russia as well!
I don’t want Hungary’s money to go to Ukraine, period. Those who do are free to give Ukraine whatever assets they personally own.
As far as E.U.’s funds, they amount to less than 400 euros per annum per capita, and even that comes with very strict restrictions on how we can use it. So, subsidize ordinary people’s electric bills? Ah-no no no. Subsidize lesbian interpretive dancing theater play? Ah-yes yes yes. Well, the E.U.trash can keep my 400 euros and go to hell on it, and I know many Hungarians feel the same.
