Hungarian Visa Centre To Open In Kiev
Kiev, April 22 (MTI) – A Hungarian visa centre will open in Kiev on Wednesday to better serve applicants in Ukraine, the Hungarian embassy in the city said today.
The centre to be ceremonially opened by Andrii Olefirov, the Ukrainian deputy foreign minister, and Hungarian Ambassador Mihaly Bayer, will receive applications for Schengen Hungarian visas from April 25, the embassy said. Applications can be submitted by any Ukrainian citizen without a prior appointment, it added.
The service has been outsourced to London-based firm VFS Global, which will charge a fee of 20 euros, the embassy said, adding that regular visa fees would not change.
The Hungarian embassy’s regular consular section will continue its visa service, where applications can be submitted after registering by phone or via e-mail.
Depending on demand, Hungary may open additional visa centres in other Ukrainian cities, the embassy said.
