Dárdai is the best coach according to Bundesliga players
Bundesliga players could vote in many categories for the season’s bests in the German Kicker journal, and Pál Dárdai, coach of Hertha BSC, was voted coach of the year. 235 players have cast their votes, and Dárdai managed to get 17.5%, origo.hu writes.
The second best coach is Dirk Schuster (16.2%, SV Darmstadt 98) and the third is the 28 years old Julian Nagelsmann (15.7%, 1899 Hoffenheim). The worst coach is Thomas Schaaf, according to the players.
Henrik Mhitarjan was voted best fielder (11 goals, 20 passes) with 31.1%, and the second and third are Robert Lewandowski (22.1%) and Thomas Müller (13.6%). Sixth place was awarded to Claudio Pizarro (Werder Bremen), while Mario Götze seemed the biggest disappointment.
The year’s best goalkeeper is Manuel Neuer (23.8%), the others are: Loris Karius (13.6%), Bernd Leno (12.8%), Ralf Fährmann (11.9%), René Adler (8.5%), and Timo Horn (8.1%).
The season’s young talents are Julian Weiglt (20%, Borussia Dortmund), Julian Brandtet (14.5%, Bayer Leverkusen), and Leroy Sané (12.3%).
Not only Dárdai, but his team was also voted the best in their respective category: the Hertha BSC (31.9%) is the season’s positive surprise, according to the players. The others are Darmstadt (23.0%), Mainz (22.1%), and Ingolstadt (17.9%), while Wolfsburg was voted the season’s negative surprise (37%).
