PM Orbán warns of Russian retaliation if the EU crosses the Rubicon
“This week is about the European Union summit in Brussels; we are also getting prepared,” the prime minister said on Facebook ahead of a meeting of the Hungarian parliament’s EU affairs committee.
“The stakes are simple: war or peace,” Viktor Orbán said. “We have never been this close to resolving the Russia-Ukraine war. Europe is at the threshold of a great opportunity: the US could soon put an end to the war which we Europeans have not managed to resolve for four years. We would have nothing else to do but to support them (the US),” Orbán said, but added that “all signs point in a different direction”.
Europe would continue the war on the battlefield and “increase it in the economic hinterland through confiscating frozen Russian assets,” he said, adding that the latter move was “equal to an open declaration of war and the Russian side will retaliate.”

“We have no reason to change the Hungarian position. The war cannot be resolved at the front line … we must do as (US) President Trump does: negotiate,” the Hungarian premier said.
“Hungary, therefore, will not support confiscating frozen Russian assets, nor will it send money or weapons to Ukraine, and will not participate in taking out a loan that would serve the purposes of the war,” Orbán said.
“Fasten your seat belts, we’ll have a turbulent week,” he added.

Orban is Putin’s mouthpiece. Do anything to defend Ukraine from Russian aggression and it will provoke Russian retaliation. Submit to Putin. That is what Orban wants and that is what he is paid to say. He is without a doubt the biggest traitor Hungary has ever had.
Orban now tells you to fear Russian retaliation. Before he was saying Europe does not need to arm itself because it is too powerful for Putin to attack. He says whatever it takes to keep us defenceless and to keep us from defending Europe from Putin’s attacks.

The only way is to stand up to them and they will back down when they realize they can’t win. Russia is not going to nuke anyone for providing assistance to Ukraine.
