Travelling from Prague or Bratislava to Budapest? Expect huge delays!

Passengers travelling from Prague or Bratislava to Budapest on Sunday should expect significant delays, with some trains running 60 to 120 minutes late, according to Hungarian rail information service Mávinform.

Prague signalling system failure

The delays are caused by a signalling system failure in Prague, the Czech rail company reported. The disruption is affecting the Metropolitan EuroCity trains and is expected to impact the Hungária EuroCity (EC 175) as well.

According to Mávinform, travel disruptions will extend to the Hungarian sections of these routes, particularly between Szob and Budapest. Passengers are advised to check the latest updates before travelling, as train schedules may continue to change throughout the day.
