10th Indian Film Festival comes to Budapest with free entry

The Embassy of India, Budapest is delighted to announce the return of the Indian Film Festival to Hungary, bringing back the magic, energy, and powerful storytelling of Indian cinema to Budapest from 27 February to 01 March 2026 at the Metropolis Hall of Puskin Cinema, Budapest.
10th Indian Film Festival in Budapest
The festival this year brings a dynamic selection of contemporary and award-winning Indian films that reflect India’s rich cultural diversity, social narratives, and cinematic excellence. From grand spectacles to inspiring real-life stories and thought-provoking dramas, the festival promises an unforgettable cinematic journey for audiences in Hungary.
In a curtain raiser video released by the Embassy of India, the Ambassador of India to Hungary underlined that the Indian Film Festival is part of the Embassy of India’s ongoing efforts to deepen cultural cooperation between India and Hungary and to promote people-to-people connections through the universal language of cinema. He invited the film lovers and the general public in Hungary to experience the vibrancy and storytelling traditions of India. The 10th edition builds on the growing interest in Indian cinema in Hungary and reaffirms the Embassy’s commitment to promoting cultural exchange through the arts. The Festival aims to strengthen cultural ties between India and Hungary, foster people-to-people connections, and offer Hungarian and international audiences an immersive experience of India’s cinematic landscape. Screenings, with Hungarian subtitles, will be open to film enthusiasts and the general public.
