Hungarian horror story in Austria involving teen daughter, middle-aged father

In a grim tableau worthy of a continental Gothic tale, a Hungarian father appears to have strangled his vulnerable 19-year-old daughter before ending his own life in their Austrian apartment. The bodies lay undiscovered for a month, a silent testament to isolation and despair.
Corpses discovered in two apartments
Austrian authorities have concluded that the 51-year-old man murdered his daughter and then took his own life. The two Hungarians’ remains were found only recently, though forensic evidence points to the double tragedy unfolding in late December.
As reported by index.hu, the young woman’s employer alerted police after she failed to appear at work for several days. Officers entered her Wels flat and discovered her naked body in an advanced state of decomposition. Examination confirmed she had been strangled.
Police soon located the father’s body in his nearby apartment. Preliminary findings indicate suicide, with the time of death aligning closely with his daughter’s—both corpses similarly decayed. There is no suggestion of third-party involvement.

Austria police investigating
The pair had returned from Hungary to Austria on Christmas Day, 25 December. Yet it was not until 26 January that the grim discovery was made. Post-mortem analysis could not pinpoint the precise hour of death.
The motive remains shrouded in mystery; no suicide note was found. Authorities later learned the teenager lived with disabilities, requiring ongoing care. Kronen Zeitung reports that chemical toxicology results are pending, leaving investigators to withhold a final verdict on this harrowing case.
