Due to tree maintenance works, tram 12 will not operate on Sunday morning, while tram 14 will run on a shortened route, with replacement buses serving the affected sections, Budapest Transport Centre (Budapesti Közlekedési Központ, BKK) announced on Thursday via MTI.
According to the statement, tree care works will take place in Újpest between 7:00 AM and 11:00 AM on Sunday. During this period, tram 12 services will be suspended and replaced by buses marked “12” running between Újpest-központ and Rákospalota, Kossuth utca.

Tram 14 will operate only on a shortened route between Lehel tér and Szent István tér (Újpesti piac). Replacement buses marked “14” will transport passengers between Újpest-központ and Káposztásmegyer, Mogyoródi-patak.
Passengers are advised to transfer from trams to replacement buses at Szent István tér (Újpesti piac), and from buses back to trams at Újpest-központ.
For those travelling from Káposztásmegyer towards the city centre, BKK recommends taking bus 20E from Káposztásmegyer, Szilas-patak. Bus 30 also provides access to Metro Line M3 from Káposztásmegyer, Mogyoródi-patak.
To plan journeys, passengers are encouraged to use the BudapestGO mobile application.
