You can now get your tickets to Wizz Air’s newest flight to Türkiye from Hungary

The list of cities accessible via Wizz Air flights from Debrecen continues to grow; starting 1 July, passengers will be able to fly from the Eastern Hungarian airport to Istanbul, Türkiye’s largest city. Flights will operate twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays, between the two cities.

Wizz Air has significantly expanded its service between Hungary and Türkiye in recent months. During the summer season, WIZZ flights operate daily from Budapest to Istanbul and Antalya, and this year the airline is also launching a new connection between the two countries’ capitals, Budapest and Ankara, from where one of Türkiye’s most enchanting regions, Cappadocia, is within easy reach. Tickets can be booked on the airline’s website or via its app, as reported by Turizmus.com.

Wizz Air takes wing to America

Following regulatory approval, Wizz Air’s UK subsidiary announced charter flights to the United States during the football World Cup. This means Wizz Air aircraft will ferry European football teams, fans, and group travellers across the Atlantic in June and July.

“We are ready to deliver an outstanding charter experience and bring fans closer to the action in the United States,” said Yvonne Moynihan, managing director of Wizz Air UK. The company added, however, that it has neither the intention nor plans for scheduled services across the ocean – for now.
