Hunger Games star celebrated Péter Magyar’s victory in Budapest, Tom Cruise also in Hungary – video

Change language:

Josh Hutcherson, the Hollywood heartthrob who played Jennifer Lawrence’s comrade-in-arms and on-screen husband in The Hunger Games, reportedly stumbled into the throng celebrating Péter Magyar’s Sunday triumph—and was promptly recognised by revellers. Meanwhile, Tom Cruise has been spotted in Hungary, with sightings in Budapest and along the shores of Lake Balaton.

According to Blikk, Hutcherson was in Budapest over the weekend and accidentally found himself in the midst of crowds exulting in Péter Magyar’s victory. As is well known, the capital’s streets were flooded with euphoric revellers who partied into the early hours after Viktor Orbán and Fidesz lost the election, with the Tisza Party securing a constitutional majority for the next four years.

The American actor is in Budapest filming with Euphoria transgender star Hunter Schafer. Industry whispers suggest their project is titled Pussy, though no further details are available. It may have some connection to Schafer’s own story as a transgender actress who grappled with her gender identity in ninth grade.

Tom Cruise’s mysterious project takes him from Budapest to the Balaton

The Oscar- and Golden Globe-winning actor and producer has requisitioned two BMW R nineT motorcycles from a bike shop in Balatonboglár for his latest film. The star of the Mission: Impossible series and The Last Samurai was already in Budapest by early April and is now shooting around Lake Balaton—likely where the bikes come into play.

Blikk notes the model’s appeal: “crafted for motorcycle enthusiasts who love bespoke customisations, with tailored modifications for the production.”

No specifics on the project have emerged. Blikk speculates the bikes could be for the comedy Digger, due in October 2026, or perhaps an entirely different venture.
