Euro2016 – Hungary complete double-training session on first full day in France
Bernd Storck’s side today held their first full-day’s training at their UEFA EURO 2016 camp close to Tourettes in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur.
The morning session was held in sparkling sunshine, the squad in high spirits as the coaching staff put them through their paces with a 90-minute session predominantly consisting of physical work carried out in the pitch-side tent gym.
The afternoon session was open to the members of the press, Dénes Dibusz and Roland Juhász talking beforehand with the assembled journalists. We caught up with the Ferencváros goalkeeper and asked him how the squad were settling into their new surroundings.
“It’s a completely new feeling for us all, a new experience. There’s a large amount of people around us; from the moment we set off, and from when we arrived our every movement has been watched by security people which is a relatively new thing for us. Just as in Austria the conditions are excellent; the training pitches are very good, leaving us to concentrate on our football. Hopefully we’ll reap the benefit. I wouldn’t say we’re quite there yet; obviously the most important thing this week is to fine-tune our game and bring everyone into top form – a week should be plenty of time. We’re over the hard physical work, now it’s all about keeping fresh and hitting the ground running in our first match” said the 25 year old shot-stopper.
