Hungary Prepares Teaching-Aid Package For Diaspora Schools
Budapest, May 8 (MTI) – The state secretariat for Hungarian communities abroad has prepared a teaching-aid package for diaspora Sunday schools together with the Balassi Institute, Zsuzsanna Repas, deputy state secretary, told a news conference.
There are altogether 129 Sunday schools in Western Europe, in the US, Canada and Australia, catering to four thousand children taught by 150 teachers that the package is designed to aid. The package cost 5.5 million forints (EU 18,000).
Gergely Prohle, state secretary for foreign affairs, said at the event that it is of vital importance for everyone that the Hungarian community abroad should endure, since its members are potential lobbyists for Hungary.
