Futacs Wanted Back In Hungary
The Hungarian Diosgyor Football Team have confirmed they would like to keep Leicester City forward Marko Futacs following a successful season on loan, and made his senior international debut for Hungary in March, but admit it will be difficult to finalise a deal, teamtalk.com reports.
The TeamTalk said, Futacs was loaned out to the Hungarian club last summer on a year-long loan and it remains to be seen whether he will be a part of Nigel Pearson’s plans for the next Premier League season following Leicester’s promotion.
According to TeamTalk.com, Ferencvaros have also been linked with a move for the 24-year-old, but Diosgyor sporting director Zoltan Kovacs is hopeful they can win the competition for his signature.
Kovacs told Sport2 Television in Hungary:
“Marko Futacs had an excellent season at our team, he scored eight goals and has been a role model on and off the pitch as well. Unfortunately we don’t have an option to buy him permanently and his release fee is 100 million forints (£265,000). But honestly, it was a very good decision to get him on loan. It won’t be an easy job if we want to keep him.”
