Third Place Taken By The 15-year-old Hungarian Cellist In The EYM Competition
According to HVG.hu, the Hungarian young boy got the third place in the Eurovision Young Musicians competition in Cologne last night. The winner was Ziyu He, the Chinese-born Austrian violinist.
We have already written about the 15 years old Hungarian cellist, Gergely Devich who participated in the Eurovision for Young Musicians competition (EYM) in Cologne. The big final was held in an open-air stage in front of the Cologne Cathedral yesterday night and among other European TV channels the Hungarian M2 channel also broadcasted live the final competition.
The 15 years old boy who represented Hungary got the third place in the competition last night in Cologne. Gergely performed the Allegro appassionato work by Camille Saint-Saens. According to the interview Gergely gave to the MTI news agency, he felt great on the stage and was content and satisfied with the results. He also noted that he is glad that he could represent Hungary. Moreover, any Hungarian can be proud of him! During the competition Gergely got lots of experience and got acquainted with new friends as well. The successful cellist also highlighted in his interview how great it would be if Hungary could appear and be part of the next EYM competition in 2016 because there are several talented Hungarian musicians who are willing to take part in this type of competition.
The winner was the Austrian Ziyu He – who was born in China – who gave an excellent violin performance while the second place was given to Urban Stanic, Slovenian pianist.
