International Hungarology Conference winds up in Pécs
Budapest, August 27 (MTI) – The 8th International Hungarology Congress finished in Pécs, in southern Hungary, on Saturday.
The six-day conference was an intercultural and interdisciplinary look at Hungarian studies in the 21st century, the head of the committee that organised the meeting told MTI. At least 20 scholarly works will be published based on activities at the conference, said János D Mekis.
Scholars from all of the neighbouring countries as well as from places as far away as the United Arab Emirates, South Korea, China, Japan and the United States participated in the conference.
The conference is held every five years. Warsaw will host the next meeting in 2021.
