Sweden to be Hungary’s last opponents of 2016
It has been announced today that Hungary will play Sweden at the Groupama Aréna in Budapest in their last match of the year.
The international friendly will take place on 15th November, two days after the Magyars’ FIFA World Cup qualifier against Andorra at the same venue and is designed to be the official farewell match for recently retired Hungary stalwarts Gábor Király and Roland Juhász.
Hungary head coach Bernd Storck says that a match against Sweden meets important aims for the national team and will serve as a preparation match ahead of the next World Cup qualifiers in springtime as well as aiding the development of young talents who may play a serious role in the match.
Sweden have been in good form in the autumn, notching seven points in three matches to jointly lead the group along with France whom Janne Anderson’s team play on 11th November, four days before their visit to Budapest.
