Arabs interested in the super train planned between Budapest and Vienna

It will pobably travel from Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates to Dubai, the 150 km away blooming city-state, in about 12 minutes, within a few years, if the transporting system called Hyperloop is proved to be feasible in the desert, reports hvg.hu.

The Californian enterprise Hyperloop One, which develops the high-speed capsule-designed transporting system signed an agreement with Dubai Transport Authority on examining whether this ambitious plan is feasible or not.

Roy Lloyd, CEO of the company introduced the details of the agreement about the feasibility to the press in the 828 metres tall Burj Khalifa, the highest building of the world. He called the contract historical.

The agreement does not set a deadline for the possible attainment, but according to the American manager it is possible for a hyperloop line to be built in the Emirates, from only a technical point of view, within five years.

According to the long-term concept, the futuristic transporting system would be expanded in the region. For example, the Saudi Arabian capital, Riyadh would join in, which would make it approachable by 50 minutes instead of two hours.

Elon Musk, founder of SpaceX space industry corporation got the idea of the pneumatic transporting system in 2013, and Hyperloop One already has 160 million dollars from different investors to accomplish the plan. Originally, Musk recommended the 1200 km/h speed capsules as an alternative for the planned high-speed train between Los Angeles and San Francisco to connect the two cities in 30 minutes.

According to the inventor it would be safer than planes, cheaper than high-speed trains and it would only use the amount of energy which is needed to actuate a bicycle per passenger.

Dubaian DP World Group, the third largest harbour operator in the world contracted the Californian corporation at the end of October in order to examine the possibility of building a container transporting hyperloop between the port of Jebel Ali, Dubai and a dry-land store base.
