A Hungarian is the best player of the top German football league
German sports magazine Kicker chose Péter Gulácsi, the goalkeeper of the Hungarian national team and RB Leipzig, the best player of the German top football league, the Bundesliga.
Best player in Germany
According to Hvg, the Hungarian goalkeeper played 33 matches of the season and received an average of 2.61 points with which he became the best player of the German first league. The second place went to Roman Bürki (Borussia Dortmund, 2.63) while the third one to Kerem Demirbay (Hoffenheim, 2.82).
Some other Hungarian players of the Bundesliga were also included on the list of the Kicker. For example, Willi Orbán (RB Leipzig) became the 19th best player with 2.93 points while Ádám Szalai (Hoffenheim, 3.40) is the 89th on the list. Unfortunately, Roland Sallai (Freiburg) did not play enough to be ranked by the magazine.
Reporters and experts of Kicker rank players in each round, and in their scale, 1 is the worst while 5 is the best mark one can receive. In fact, Péter Gulácsi
got only 29 goals altogether in the Bundesliga during the current season
and he could not be beaten in 16 matches. In the current season, there is only one more match that awaits him and his club. Next Saturday, they will play against the German champion, Bayern München, in the final of the German Cup.
Hungarian stadiums to become the most beautiful in the world?
We reported before that two Hungarian Football teams’ stadiums were nominated in the top 25 best stadiums in the world. The two stadium-owner teams are MOL Vidi FC and Diősgyőr (DVTK). It can be considered a huge success that both of them (quite surprisingly)
got into the top 10 stadiums
on stadiumdb.com’s vote, so, the two Hungarian stadiums can compete for the title of the world’s best stadium. This is the first time that stadiums under a capacity of 15 thousand got into the final top 10, which was a great surprise even for the jury. The MOL Vidi stadium in Székesfehérvár has 14,200 seats while the Diósgyőr stadium in Miskolc has a capacity of 14,655.
