Airlines allow free cancellation and modifications in connection with Brussels
Travelo.hu writes that many airlines, including the quasi-Hungarian Wizz Air, Ryanair and the Lufthansa-group provide options for ticket modifications and cancellations free of charge for travelers to Brussels.
Direct flights from Budapest to Brussels are provided by the Brussels Airlines, Wizz Air and Ryanair, depending on the schedule, 5-6 times a day.
Wizz Air refunded the cost of the tickets for those who cancelled their flights on Tuesday, and charged nothing for those who rescheduled theirs. The site refers to a report of MTI, in which the Lufthansa revealed the cancellation of 25 flights to Brussels.
Furthermore, passengers can reschedule or cancel their bookings free of charge, if they were issued for 22-28 March for flights of Lufthansa, Austrian, Swiss, Eurowings or Brussels Airlines. It is also said, that Brussels Airlines have cancelled all their flights to Zaventem on Tuesday and to Brussels on Wednesday.
RyanAir was among those who allowed passengers to modify their bookings for free. However, it is not known yet for which days, apart from Tuesday, would this opportunity stand.
