The 2024/2025 ski season officially opened yesterday in the Mátraszentistván Ski Park, “on the top” of Hungary. The ski park celebrates its 20th anniversary with small gifts for its first guests, sparkling sunshine, Hungary’s only newly-built four-seater chairlift, extended hours and evening skiing, frozen prices, and fresh snow.
According to the official Facebook page of the Mátraszentistván Ski Park, the place opened for visitors yesterday morning. They wrote that “brilliant sunshine and an authentic alpine atmosphere greeted visitors on the season’s opening day at the Mátraszentistván Ski Park! To celebrate its 20th anniversary, the Ski Park team surprised the first guests with Christmas cookies and a small gift as they kicked off the 2024/25 ski season”.
The Ski Park welcomes skiers and snowboarders throughout the winter break, offering extended opening hours and night skiing opportunities. However, due to safety reasons, sledding is not permitted.
What’s more, ski pass prices remained unchanged since the last season. They can be purchased with SZÉP cards.
