American investments could break record in Hungary

American investments in Hungary will reach a historic high this year, and the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA) could announce the project of another US company this week, the agency told MTI on Monday.

HIPA said it has announced nine American projects so far this year and noted that 1,400 American companies operate in Hungary, making them the third largest investor community.

HIPA CEO István Joó, who was part of a Hungarian government delegation recently visiting Washington, had held talks in the US capital with ABBVIE, GE Healthcare, Radian Space and Voyager, the agency said.
