Innovation to be introduced on Budapest buses to help everyone
After trams and trolleybuses, buses are now also showing real-time transfer options in the Hungarian capital.
The Budapest Transport Centre (BKK) announced that the company is introducing a service to help customers plan their journeys on more than 1,300 vehicles.
According to the information, the interior displays of the vehicles will show the BKK lines, suburban trains and HÉVs available at the next stop, as well as the direction and the time remaining until departure.
This year, the number of services with real-time transfer options on their on-board displays has steadily increased. The first trams to offer this service were the Combino trams in May, followed by other trams in the summer and trolleybuses and trams in the autumn, after a positive experience.
