World famous Angelina Jolie moves to Budapest

A film about the life of world-famous opera singer Maria Callas, starring Angelina Jolie, is being shot in Budapest at the Opera House. The film is about the last years of the singer’s life. She lived a solitary life in Paris and no longer performed. But the director wants to include scenes that reflect on her success on stage.

The Hungarian State Opera House confirmed to Blikk that the filmmakers have indeed approached the institution “but in the absence of authorisation, we cannot give any information about the possible filming.”

Angelina Jolie last visited Hungary in autumn 2010. She was filming the movie In the Land of Blood and Honey. 13 years ago, she rented a villa in the second district. This time she bought a penthouse, according to Velvet.

Since Jolie has a good relationship with Johnny Depp, who also shoots in Budapest, it’s possible that we could catch them together in the Hungarian capital.
