Anita Herbert, the fitness expert from Hungary
There are so many celebrities and amazing personalities from Hungary that sometimes some of them slip by under the radar. One such celebrity is Anita Herbert, a Hungarian girl born and raised in a town near Budapest who went on to become a very popular fitness guru.
Anita was born in Hungary and graduated from a university in Budapest. However, she claims to have led a very unhealthy life, partying and drinking every weekend during that time. Feeling aimless after her education, she went to visit a friend in Miami and was so taken by the whole place that she never looked back. But that is still not when Anita became dedicated to the gym life.
It was when she met her now-husband that she entered a gym for the first time.
She had a strong metabolism and good genetics that had let her stay lean throughout her partying days, but she had a long way until she was healthy. Her husband was a strong influence in her life and was one of her main supporters on her journey to become healthy.

Under her husband’s guidance, Anita sculpted an incredible physique and met one of her heroes, Michelle Lewin, who encouraged her to start competing as a female bodybuilder. Later that year, she entered her first competition and took home the first position trophy. She went on to win all four competitions she subsequently participated in. However, she was yet to get her Pro Card. In 2016, she finally got her Pro Card after coming second in the final competition. At 27, she decided she wanted to be a professional Bikini Athlete.
Her winning streak was quickly noticed by the fitness community, and she quickly became an Instagram sensation accumulating over 2 million subscribers, inspiring all of her followers to live a healthy life. The takeaway from this amazing Hungarian woman is that there is no limit to what you can achieve and to never be afraid of change. Her life also teaches us the importance of surrounding ourselves with the right people that encourage us to be our best selves. Anita’s story is a beautiful representation of how there is nothing that you cannot do with your life.
