Appellate court raises Rezesova prison sentence to 9 years

Budapest, September 11 (MTI) – Slovak millionaire Eva Rezesova Varholikova has been sentenced to 9 years in prison for causing a fatal road accident in 2012 while driving under the influence.

The appellate court raised a 6-year prison sentence.

Four people died in the accident on August 21, 2012 when Rezesova, driving a BMW X5 at a speed of 165kmh on the M3 motorway in the early hours, ran into a Fiat Punto from behind.

Rezesova is the daughter of the late Alexander Rezes, Slovakia’s transport minister in the 1990s, and the country’s second richest businessman at the time.

  1. I don’t like the sound of it and, especially the “commercialized” part, it is evocative of what’s happening to airports everywhere, which are now basically giant shopping malls with the flights coming and going just tacked on as an afterthought. That said, Deli in particular is a total dump and anything, almost ANYTHING!, to improve the experience of going there is welcome!
