Aquaworld Resort Budapest: One of the best waterparks in Europe
The indoor water park of Aquaworld Resort Budapest offers 15 pools and 11 slides with a total length of almost 1 kilometre, for fun all year round.
The Sun recently published an article introducing Budapest’s waterpark, Aquaworld Resort which is often described as one of the best water parks in Europe. It is well known for its variety of pools and slides and is located just outside the capital. They state that it is a great choice for everybody during the summer holiday as there are plenty of pools and slides for children to play in, while parents can relax at this popular city break destination.
The main season between May and October is the ideal time to visit the facility as more outdoor pools can be enjoyed when the beach section is open to visitors, but the inside pools and the spa with „saunaworld” await guests all year round.
Aquaworld offers a wide range of activities for families
From relaxing splashes to fast thrills for the more excitable, there’s a total of 1km of slides to enjoy. It has a total of 15 pools, the majority of which are indoors, although a couple of them are located outdoors and are only open during the summer months. These include an indoor and outdoor adventure pool, a wave pool, an indoor and outdoor children’s pool, a heated indoor pool, a four-metre deep diving pool with a diving board and two huge jacuzzis.
Aquaworld – Crazy Turtle Dive Center offers 4-meter-deep water, where guests can learn the basics of diving, the correct techniques and skills in diving with the help of instructors and courses. For children, there is a playful diving course, and for advanced divers, there are further training courses in the spa: under the supervision of a diving instructor, you can practice floating, balancing and even solving different exercises together, writes termalfurdo.hu.
Slides include the Mountain River, a gentler ride in a rubber ring, and the Family Slide, which is suitable for everyone. Other slides include the UFO and Rainbow, both two-person slides requiring a double rubber ring. And then for the thrill seekers, there are Onion, the Black Hole and the Flying Carpet rides, which offer something a little more adventurous.
Adults can relax in the Spa section of Aquaworld
For adults looking for a break from the noise and excitement of the pools and slides, there’s an oriental spa and “saunaworld”, which is only for people over 14. There is a traditional sauna and an aroma room where you can relax with a combination of scents and steam. There’s also a traditional Turkish hammam bath, here you can undergo a full-body cleansing and exfoliation treatment. Other services offered at the Oriental Spa include massage, hot stone therapy and beauty treatments. There are also sports facilities and a gym for those who want to work out away from the pool.
The Sun also pointed out that Budapest and its waterpark, Aquaworld can be a great destination for families, as you can fly to Hungary from the UK for as little as GBP 12. An adult ticket to Aquaworld costs EUR 27, and EUR 14 for children.

Went there a couple of times with my family. Years ago a week after we went there an access cover a boy was standing on collapsed over a water intake system and he was shredded in a turbine. My son probably stood over that same access cover where the surfing machine was. After reading that we never went back.
