Attitudes similar to Hungary’s standpoint on migration are also gaining strength in the United States
“Attitudes that are similar to the Hungarian standpoint on migration and monitoring migrants could also gain strength in the United States”, Chief Security Advisor to the Prime Minister György Bakondi said on Hungarian M1 television’s Thursday evening current affairs program.
Speaking about his experiences during his recent visit to the United States, Mr. Bakondi said. “Some Congressmen were shocked to hear that even some of the Islamic State’s fighters could get into Europe, and in their opinion nobody should be allowed to cross the border without suitable controls”.
According to the Chief Security Advisor, people smugglers have immediately exploited the renewed fighting in Libya, as a result of which increasing numbers of people are setting off across the Mediterranean bound or Italy, and the number of migrants arriving in the Greek islands and crossing the Spanish-Moroccan border is also growing. In addition to people smugglers and the activities of NGOs,
the EU’s slowness is also attracting immigrants; the European Union has failed to find a solution to the situation over the course of two and a half years.
Mr, Bakondi stressed that according to the Hungarian standpoint only those should be allowed into Europe who have undergone a check outside the territory of Europe, and even those people should not be distributed according to quotas.
“Most of the proposals that have arisen are uncannily similar to the various points of the Soros Plan, in view of the fact that he would like to also involve NGOs in the distribution of migrants and do away with limits on their numbers’, he explained. “Not a single element of the plan is acceptable, in addition to which it also goes against the opinion of the overwhelming majority of European citizens”, Mr. Bakondi declared.
