Authentic summer holiday weather returns to Hungary this weekend
Sunny weather returns to Hungary after the previous record-low temperatures we all experienced in end-July and early August because of a cold front dominating the weather of the Carpathian Basin.
According to Telex, sunny and warm summer weather will replace the cold, autumn-like days of the past two weeks. They added that on Sunday, temperatures might be exceed 31 degrees. This forecast is based on the national middle-term prognosis of the Hungarian Meteorology Service. On Friday, the temperatures were”only” between 23 and 27 degrees, but maximums will rise to 29 degrees on Saturday and 31 degrees by Sunday.
Saturday and Sunday will be sunny with few clouds and no rain or thunderstorms. Wind will be moderate. Dawns will be cold with temperatures between 8 and 18 degrees. On Monday, the temperature will rise to 33 degrees, but on next Tuesday and Wednesday, it may reach 34 °C.

The Hungarian Meteorological Service said there were significant differences in Hungary concerning the maximum and minimum temperatures. For example, the daily maximum on Kékestető, Hungary’s highest peak was only 18.5 degrees on Thursday, but it reached 28 degrees 200 km away in Körösszakál. Check out the maps below to get a better glimpse. Meanwhile, the minimum was only 5.9 degrees in Kakucs, Central Hungary and 15.2 degrees in Siófok, the southern bank of Lake Balaton.
