Beware! Swindlers try to sell tickets for the World Athletics Championships in Budapest

Swindlers try to deceive people who could not buy an official ticket for the World Athletics Championships in Budapest.

According to Telex, the swindlers try to sell people copied tickets for tourists and locals for astronomical prices. The organisers of the world’s third biggest sports event told the Hungarian news agency that in the last few days, it was almost impossible to get a ticket for the evening programmes of the championships. By Tuesday night, all available tickets were sold out for the finals. You were not able to buy any more online or offline at the cashier’s desk of the National Athletics Centre.

Several people complained that they bought tickets on different online platforms. But when they tried to enter the stadium, it became clear that their ticket was only a cheap copy of the original. Even if somebody copies a ticket several times, you can enter only once with one specific ticket because the ordinal number matters instead of the physical ticket.
